Welcome to Leadership Through Horsemanship, the transformational program that builds skills on the ranch and translates them into life!
Anyone that has been blessed by the presence of a horse knows how much they can teach in such an intuitive way. This program captures the Horses’ teachings and enables participants to harness skills such as confidence, respect, communication, teamwork and learn how to use them off the ranch.
Leadership Through Horsemanship is a level based Equine Assisted Learning approach to basic horsemanship and horse care. It was inspired by all the people that dream of being able to ride and care for a horse but in a safe and mindful environment.
Developed at Seen and Herd Equine, Leadership Through Horsemanship has combined over 15 years of Competitive Riding, Barn Management, Riding Lessons, Horse Training and Equine Assisted Learning into a 6 week level based easy to implement program.
Level 1 consists of the following:
-Welcome To The Herd- Basics & Horse Nutrition
-Finding Connection- Basic Herd Dynamics, Haltering and Leading
-Building Trust- How to Groom and the tools to use
-Clear Communication- Basic Groundwork
-Overcoming Obstacles- Obstacle Course
-Where To Go Next? Leading The Trail
The Manual is loaded with clear and concise information that sets you up to deliver Leadership Through Horsemanship successfully whether you follow it step by step or add your own personal touch. The manual breaks down session routines and facilitation style. You get one exercise per week along with a full facilitation breakdown that includes setup, which horses to use, chores and so much more! You also get 3 bonus exercises on top!
Leadership Through Horsemanship is typically a group program, but would also work on an individual basis. It has been used as a part of homeschool programs, pre-work to lease programs and participated in by kids as young as 4 years old to adults. The sky is your limit and should be a staple in any Equine Business.
